The German Society for Urology ( DGU ) is the scientific society of German urology.

With around 6,000 members, it is one of the largest German medical societies. The DGUfacilitates scientific research, guidelines and evidence-based treatment in the field of urology. The overarching goal is to ensure a technically excellent and comprehensive urological care for the population in Germany.

As part of the annual conference of the DGU , which is one of the largest urological specialist congresses in the world, with around 7,000 participants, together with the European and American symposia, the intensive exchange of knowledge takes place across all professional groups and thus a constant updating and renewal of expertise.

The DGU is the contact point of the German Medical Association, the Federal Ministry of Health and other committees of the health service. 
Collaboration with the Professional Association of German Urologists and the common approach towards the aforementioned institutions and the public increasingly ensure the success of the joint efforts.
